Asobi Asobase Season 2 Updates
The first season of Asobi Asobase aired between July and September of 2018 and was a success. The background score by Masato Koda received a great deal of special appreciation from the fans all over. With only 13 episodes in the first season, fans definitely want more.
Produced by the brilliant anime production crew Raven that consists of Shō Tanaka, Shigeki Yamada, Aya Iizuka, Kaori Kimura, and Mitsuhiro Ogata, Asobi Asobase had a very strong screenplay from the beginning itself.
Though Asobi Asobase follows the comedy genre, the storyline does not follow the straightforward conventional path. The main protagonists are not exactly ideal role models. They are girls gone bad and that is what makes Asobi Asobase hilariously relatable and fun to watch.
Hanako Honda, Olivia , and Kasumi Nomura are not your everyday high schoolers. Each of them are unique in their own way and strangely odd. They have their own issues and problems that are quiet funny to watch.
Hanako is a rich girl with absolute zero ideas about how the world works. She is dimwitted but friendly and often tries to find weird game ideas to keep herself interested. Her sense of fashion is also equally odd making her a source of fun most often in school.
Olivia is the blue-eyed, blond-haired American born and raised in Japan recently transferred student. Contrary to popular belief, she cannot speak in English at all. To hide her embarrassment and to maintain a fake American persona she is often seen speaking in broken Japanese mixed with a bit of English.
Kasumi Npmura is someone who hates games as she is always loosing in any game she plays at home with her sister, thus leading her to always do all the chores. Her other two major problems include her extremely weak English and bigger breasts that make her appear as older than her age.
The three girls are schoolmates in the same class who later becomes friends through fate and funny correspondence. They form the Past timers club which basically does nothing except finding weird activities and things to do. Through their club, they start interacting with other girls and that’s how the story evolves with many incidences and plot twists in between.
Each episode is funny as hell and will keep one rolling from end to the other at all time. The execution of the entire 12 chapters are something that becomes a benchmark, a genuine expression, exaggerated way, yet so phenomenally well portrayed acting with straight face, solid, fast-talking, and wisecrack innuendos.
